The role of the methodology in value outlook formation on the nature of constitutional changes at the transition stage to democracy has been substantiated. The problematic aspects of the post-soviet doctrine have been identified. The main approach to finding the directions of theoretical research of the constitutional development of the transition society has been exposed. The role of the variation of thinking in the development of the methodology of the study of problems of the constitutional process has been stated. The most favorable methods of scientific knowledge of the problems of constitutional development of postsocialist countries of Eastern Europe have been revealed.
