The article examines the Ukrainian experience of the implementation and functioning of electronic justice in stages, as one of the key institutions of electronic governance and the newest and most complete procedure for the implementation and administration of justice in electronic form. The variety of concepts of the electronic court was analyzed, on the basis of which the author's definition of this concept was given, which is based on one's own understanding of this term. It was determined that the system of electronic justice in Ukraine is based on the principles of openness and ensuring everyone's right to access information about court activities. It has been established that one of the first steps in Ukraine's implementation of electronic court elements can be called the transition of its judicial system to electronic documentation support for management and absolute automation of all judicial processes. The legal framework for the implementation and development of electronic justice in Ukraine is analyzed. Special attention was paid to the study of the experience of the implementation and functioning of electronic justice in Ukraine, precisely during the periods of the introduction and extension of the quarantine on the territory of Ukraine, caused by the pandemic of the coronavirus infection COVID-19 and the military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, which only increased the special attention to the need for its implementation and development . In general, it is believed that the digitization of the judicial process in Ukraine is a mandatory stage of its development and modernization, and the pandemic, quarantine restrictions and the military invasion of the Russian Federation only increased the already significant urgency. It was concluded that for the further effective development of electronic justice in Ukraine, as a way of administering justice based on the use of information technologies, further steps are needed for the information and technical modernization of the judicial system, the development of electronic record keeping in the judicial system of Ukraine, as well as the adoption of legal norms , which would make it possible to clearly define the institution of electronic justice.
