This article analyzes the multifaceted scientific and organizational activities of Academician Yuriy Serhiyovych Shemshuchenko, which consist in the systematic combination of scientific research, educational activities, and participation in state-building processes in Ukraine. Yuriy Serhiyovych Shemshuchenko is a prominent Ukrainian legal scholar, organizer of academic legal science, educator, public figure, Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, and foreign member of many international scientific institutions. His entire life and creative path exemplify uncompromising service to science and Ukraine, demonstrating high civic responsibility and scientific integrity. The article highlights the scholar's conceptual ideas regarding the development of legal science, building an effective legal system, protecting human rights and freedoms, and creating refined administrative-legal mechanisms. It demonstrates how his scientific work and organizational efforts during the formation and modernization of the domestic legal sphere significantly influenced the formation of the national legal school, as well as the integration of Ukrainian legal thought into the global intellectual space. The article emphasizes Yuriy Shemshuchenko's significant role in shaping the modern view of the state, constitutional order, and environmental law. Thanks to his efforts, numerous scientific foundations were created for the future development of legal consciousness, ensuring the rule of law, and establishing the accountability of government bodies to society. The importance of his scientific school is revealed both for lawmaking and law enforcement, as well as for training highly qualified specialists in the field of law.
