The article examines current issues of compliance with international peace and security. It is emphasizes that the aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine concerns not only this state, but also the entire international community, being a serious challenge to the international legal order. It is noted that international efforts should be aimed at ensuring justice and effective justice for Ukraine. The international legal mechanisms for combating armed aggression, the jurisdictional powers of the International Criminal Court and other bodies of international criminal justice in this area of legal relations are considered. Problematic issues of the investigation of international crimes related to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine are analyzed. The need to create a special international criminal tribunal for Ukraine is proven. Specific proposals regarding the legal and institutional foundations of the activity of such an international court and the trial of the crime of aggression have been provided. In order to compensate for the damage caused to Ukraine and its natural environment, it is proposed to create a special international commission within the framework of the UN and to strengthen national legal mechanisms on this issue, in particular to adopt relevant legislative acts and ratify the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
