The organization of higher education is a crucial instrument for addressing societal demands in the training of specialists across various fields of social activity. Law, as the sole universal regulator of social relations in the modern world, is designed to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of institutional and socio-political interaction mechanisms under any circumstances. Institutions of higher legal education play a key role in these processes, serving as the primary suppliers of professional personnel, particularly for the public administration system, judicial and law enforcement bodies, the legal profession, and notarial services. These institutions not only equip professionals with specialized skills but also shape their overall professional worldview. At the same time, jurisprudence as both a science and an academic discipline is a dynamic field of education that continuously adapts to current societal demands, necessitating constant improvement. These adaptation processes require analysis and generalization for a comprehensive understanding of the directions in which legal education is evolving. The aim of this study is to identify the most pressing challenges facing legal education today. Three key areas of societal change are highlighted as having the most significant impact on the organization of national life. These can be broadly categorized as follows: the influence of global globalization processes, which in education manifests as the need for internationalization; the reflection of contemporary societal developments, particularly the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia’s war against Ukraine; and the advancement of new technologies, which are driving substantial transformations in both education and legal practice. This article systematically examines all three of these areas, analyzing the regulatory framework established to address the challenges arising in each domain. It also identifies the resources provided by international institutions to address current issues in legal education, which can be integrated into the study of specific topics. Furthermore, the study outlines aspects that are unique to legal education. In particular, it emphasizes the need to revise the content of educational materials in response to significant legislative changes following the full-scale invasion of Russia. A crucial component of modern legal education is the development of traditional legal practice skills and the integration of digital tools, including the Electronic Court system. Contemporary communication is recognized not only as an instrument but also as an object of legal regulation.
